Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Dimir Zombie Aristocrats combo deck led by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary strategy focuses on assembling infinite sacrifice loops to drain the table in a single turn. The core win condition pairs Gravecrawler with Phyrexian Altar and an aristocrat payoff like Blood Artist, Diregraf Captain, or Plague Belcher. Compact secondary win conditions include Rooftop Storm with Acererak the Archlich for infinite dungeon venturing and Poppet Stitcher with sacrifice outlets. Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver provides early board presence, sacrificial fodder, and card advantage by converting dying nontoken Zombies into decayed tokens. The deck supports its proactive lines with efficient black tutors, graveyard recursion engines such as Living Death and Victimize, and asymmetric creature attrition engines like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos. Low-cost countermagic and board sweepers protect the setup while disrupting opposing boards.
