Format: Commander

Commander: Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin is the engine of a Rakdos one-life storm deck: cheap pinger creatures and damage-from-anywhere effects chip every opponent for exactly 1 life, pumping Ob and letting the deck chain spells from exile. The primary win is a fast Underworld Breach + Lion's Eye Diamond + Grinding Station loop that mills the library, refuels with Wheel of Fortune/Jeska's Will, and closes with Grapeshot or Walking Ballista. A secondary line uses Agatha's Soul Cauldron with Casey Jones to convert +1/+1 counters into direct damage. The commander is both card advantage and a growing beater, while Birgi/Harnfel and Unstable Amulet provide backup cast-from-exile value.
