Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan focuses on deploying efficient early Zombie creatures and mana ramp, casting Gisa on Turn 4, and utilizing her activated ability to sacrifice high-power creatures and exponentially multiply token armies. As the horde expands, static tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper enhance power and grant lethal combat keywords like menace and deathtouch. Concurrently, aristocrat engines including Ayara, First of Locthwain, Bastion of Remembrance, Vengeful Dead, and Mirkwood Bats punish opponents for attempting board wipes while converting token sacrifices into direct life drain. Although the deck lacks infinite combos and universal tutors, high functional redundancy and resilient recursion keep pressure steady. Its primary limitations stem from vulnerability to targeted removal on Gisa during her summoning sickness window and an inability to interact with opposing artifacts or stack-based combos.
