Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive, combat-focused mana-cheat deck commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan centers on deploying Kaalia on Turn 3 or 4, granting her haste, and attacking immediately to cheat devastating Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Cheating out lethal bombs such as Master of Cruelties, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Vilis, Broker of Blood applies immense early pressure, enabling single-turn player eliminations and snowballing card advantage. To ensure Kaalia connects, the deck runs a premier suite of proactive silence effects, free protection spells, and spot removal, including Grand Abolisher, Deflecting Swat, Teferi's Protection, and Deadly Rollick. While the deck excels at rapid burst damage and resilient board protection, it remains reliant on its commander to bypass the high mana costs of its heavy flying armada. When Kaalia is repeatedly answered, the deck pivots into hardcasting threats or utilizing targeted reanimation spells.
