Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Ygra, Eater of All as both a Voltron threat and an Aristocrats engine. By turning every creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact, Ygra triggers whenever any creature or Food dies, growing by two +1/+1 counters each time. The deck uses low-cost mana dorks and rocks to deploy Ygra on Turn 4, followed by granting trample via Garruk's Uprising, Shadowspear, or Duskshell Crawler. Simultaneously, drain outlets such as Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Marionette Master translate Food and creature deaths into lethal life loss across the table. Infinite loops such as Chatterfang, Squirrel General paired with Pitiless Plunderer offer alternative immediate win routes. The deck balances explosive pressure with resilient protection spells and flexible Golgari removal.
