Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mardu combat deck built around Tsagan, Raider Warlord and keyword synergy. By pairing cheap first strike and double strike creatures with Tsagan's scaling attack trigger, the deck converts ordinary combat steps into massive power spikes. The Start your engines mechanic provides incremental upside, eventually giving the entire board first strike and Tsagan deathtouch at Max Speed. Support cards like Isshin, Two Heavens as One, Kwende, Pride of Femeref, and Archetype of Courage amplify the offensive output, while cards like Iroas, God of Victory ensure your attackers survive combat trades. While the deck boasts formidable burst damage and efficient removal, it lacks recurring card advantage and dedicated stax locks, relying on rapid pressure and timely protection spells like Boros Charm and Flawless Maneuver to push through lethal damage across consecutive attack turns before opponents can fully stabilize.
