Rigo, Alley Cat

Format: Commander

Commander: Rigo, Streetwise Mentor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Bant Rigo, Streetwise Mentor go-wide evasion deck built around a dense package of power-1-or-less Shadow creatures (Soltari and Thalakos) that reliably connect to trigger Rigo's attack-based card draw. The plan is to flood the board with hard-to-block bodies, protect the life total with pillowfort enchantments, then convert chip damage into lethal swings via +1/+1-counter growth, anthems, and Legion Loyalty myriad. Secondary engines include proliferate (Inexorable Tide, Contagion Engine, Thrummingbird) and value permanents such as Seedborn Muse and The Immortal Sun. There are no infinite combo lines; wins come from combat attrition and eventual overwhelming board presence. Rigo is the primary card-advantage engine and wants to stay on the battlefield, but the Shadow army and counter payoffs still function without him.
