Lathril by Ishkin276

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

An archetypal Golgari elfball deck, Lathril, Blade of the Elves plays the classic go-wide game: accelerate with a dense suite of one- and two-mana elf dorks, flood the board with token makers, and close the table in one alpha strike. Lathril is both an engine and a finisher - her combat-damage trigger compounds the swarm, and her ten-elf activation drains each opponent for 10. The primary kill is Craterhoof Behemoth or a huge Finale of Devastation; the secondary is a drain layer of Shaman of the Pack, Skemfar Shadowsage, Poison-Tip Archer, and repeated Lathril activations. A compact tutor package (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Green Sun's Zenith, Finale of Devastation) provides access, while Staff of Domination-style druid loops offer infinite-mana combo kills. The deck is mid-paced: it amasses elves for a few turns, then wins through an overrun-trample swing or repeatable drains.
