Deck overview

This is a Golgari self-mill aristocrats deck helmed by The Mycotyrant. The plan is to dump permanents into the graveyard as fast as possible-via dredge, mill engines, and sacrifice-to fuel "descend" triggers, recursion, and drain payoffs. The Mycotyrant converts each descend into a swarm of Fungus tokens, growing into a trampling closer while the 99 assembles classic sacrifice loops. Primary wins are infinite (or near-infinite) death-trigger drains with Gravecrawler, Nether Traitor, or Bloodghast plus outlets and payoffs such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats, backed by Syr Konrad, the Grim and Living Death blowouts. Land recursion (Life from the Loam, Ramunap Excavator, Aftermath Analyst) and value engines (The Gitrog Monster, Skullclamp) keep the tank full. The commander is a strong token engine and beater but is not required for the combo lines living in the 99.
