Deck overview

The deck uses The Ur-Sphinx and Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign to make expensive Sphinxes cheaper, then turns each Sphinx entry into card selection. A normal game develops lands and cost reducers, casts Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign around Turn 5 or 6, and follows with Sphinxes such as Sphinx Summoner, Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, or Dazzling Sphinx. The resulting board generates cards, free spells, and occasional extra turns from Medomai the Ageless. The Ur-Sphinx adds attack-triggered milling and access to cards milled from opposing libraries. The deck has useful spot removal, counters, and phasing, but its interaction competes with its expensive development. It also lacks a deterministic table kill: combat damage, mill, Atemsis, All-Seeing, and Magister Sphinx can create pressure without reliably eliminating all three opponents. It is therefore a strong casual tribal value shell rather than a competitive combo or lock deck.
