Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is led by Vraska, Soul of Stone and focuses on turning noncreature spell casts into an expansive board of 1/1 Sculpture Treasure artifact creature tokens with vigilance. The deck leverages low-cost noncreature artifacts, counterspells, and cantrips to steadily build an army that doubles as emergency mana ramp. Once a wide token presence is established, the deck transitions into lethal pressure using evasion enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, anthem effects like Chief of the Foundry, or burst combat damage from Embercleave, while Firebrand Archer and Mysidian Elder chip away at opposing life totals on every cast. Defensive layers including Duty Beyond Death, Thorin Oakenshield, and tailored countermagic help shield the board from sweepers. Operating on a steady mid-game curve, the deck assembles its core engine on Turn 4, creates a critical must-answer board state by Turn 7, and closes the game through multi-opponent combat by Turn 9.
