Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Selesnya deck commanded by Kudo, King Among Bears. Kudo sets the base power and toughness of all other creatures to 2/2 and turns them into Bears. The deck capitalizes on this ability through three complementary axes: infinite creature combos, asymmetric stax pieces, and a one-sided creature lockout. By combining Kudo with Ayula, Queen Among Bears and either Scurry Oak or Basking Broodscale, every token created enters as a Bear, repeatedly triggering Ayula to produce infinite 2/2 Bear tokens and an arbitrarily large creature on Turn 4. Meanwhile, stax staples like Collector Ouphe, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Yasharn, Implacable Earth, and Deafening Silence stall faster opposing strategies. On Turn 5, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite creates a lethal soft-lock by giving opposing 2/2 Bears -2/-2, destroying all opposing creatures as state-based actions while your army attacks for the win.
