Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and attrition strategy commanded by Massacre Girl, Known Killer. It combines a high density of cycling cards with -1/-1 counter mechanics to control the board and generate overwhelming card advantage. The game plan focuses on establishing Massacre Girl, Known Killer on Turn 4, followed by powerhouse engines such as Archfiend of Ifnir, Nest of Scarabs, or Bone Miser on Turn 5. As cards are cycled or discarded, Archfiend of Ifnir places -1/-1 counters on all opposing creatures, wiping enemy boards and triggering Massacre Girl, Known Killer to draw a massive grip of fresh cards. The deck converts this board control into victory by generating swarms of Insect tokens, attacking with large evasive demons, and draining life totals through Faith of the Devoted, Blood Artist, and Massacre Wurm. Strong black tutors ensure consistent access to engine pieces.
