Castles Made of Sand by user5605391

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Naya landfall-Desert token swarm built around Hazezon, Shaper of Sand. The plan is to ramp hard, flood the board with lands, and convert every Desert ETB into Sand Warrior tokens while supporting parallel landfall engines (Scute Swarm, Avenger of Zendikar, Phylath, World Sculptor). Because the 99 contains only one printed Desert (Hashep Oasis), Dune Chanter is the linchpin that turns the entire manabase into Deserts so Hazezon, Desert Warfare, and Yuma, Proud Protector actually fire. Wins come from go-wide combat-often capped by Overwhelming Stampede or drained out via Impact Tremors-backed by graveyard land recursion (Ramunap Excavator, World Shaper, The Mending of Dominaria). Hazezon is a strong accelerator but not load-bearing; the landfall and recursion packages in the 99 execute the plan without him.
