Deck overview

The deck uses Henzie "Toolbox" Torre to turn expensive creatures into hasty, discounted threats that replace themselves when they die. Early mana from Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, Lotus Petal, mana creatures and Talismans supports a turn-4 or turn-5 commander, followed by a large blitz creature around turn 6. Vaultborn Tyrant is the clearest ordinary checkpoint: it draws a card, attacks immediately, gains life and leaves a 6/6 artifact copy after the blitz sacrifice. Archon of Cruelty, Etali, Primal Storm, Kokusho, the Evening Star and Ziatora, the Incinerator provide additional value and sacrifice outlets. Tutors and reanimation give the list good access, while Deflecting Swat, Heroic Intervention and Malakir Rebirth protect parts of the plan. The deck generates strong midgame advantage, but it lacks a compact deterministic win, sustained denial, and enough direct damage to guarantee a table kill on a fixed clock.
