Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue big-mana strategy designed to bypass casting costs and deploy colossal game-ending threats ahead of curve using Braids, Conjurer Adept. By leveraging low-cost mana rocks, the deck aims to cast Braids on Turn 3 or 4. It breaks the commander's symmetrical upkeep ability by using flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir to deploy Braids right before your turn begins, or by cheating in overwhelmingly powerful permanents such as Blightsteel Colossus, Consecrated Sphinx, and Sphinx of the Second Sun. Clone effects such as Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Phyrexian Metamorph duplicate your best threats or copy high-value opposing permanents. A rich suite of countermagic, bounce spells, and phasing tools shields your board while you eliminate opponents in sequential combat attacks.
