A Concering Hobbit by slchoc

Format: Commander

Commander: Bilbo, Thief in the Night

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bilbo, Thief in the Night is a mono-blue spells-and-graveyard engine. The deck is built around Bilbo's attack trigger and his cast-from-anywhere-other-than-hand discount: fill the graveyard with instants and sorceries, recur one every attack, and turn Bilbo into an unblockable 21-power threat. Secondary paths are Talrand/Hermes tokens, Dreamborn Muse mill plus Neerdiv's combat mill, and an occasional Expropriate extra-turn finish. The hidden linchpin is Fortune Teller's Talent, whose level-three discount stacks with Bilbo and turns top-deck and graveyard casts into the real engine. No infinite loop or valid infinite-mana outlet is present; victory is assembled through repeated commander damage.
