Mister Negative by MonroeM

Commander: Mister Negative

Deck overview

This Orzhov life-drain deck is built around the explosive value of Mister Negative, a 7-drop that exchanges life totals with an opponent and draws a card for each life lost. The deck establishes early lifegain from Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant, generates token bodies via Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer, then converts every life gain into opponent life loss through a dense suite of drain effects: Cruel Celebrant, Zulaport Cutthroat, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, Bastion of Remembrance, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, and Marauding Blight-Priest. Bloodletter of Aclazotz doubles that loss on your turn. The commander's ETB can be reused with flicker spells such as Ephemerate and Cloudshift, while Exsanguinate and Gray Merchant of Asphodel serve as finishers. Small sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer and Ashnod's Altar turn bodies into mana or card selection, and the deck has strong recursion through Cavalier of Night, Athreos, Shroud-Veiled, and the persist side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight.
