Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs go-wide token generation with affinity-driven mana velocity, led by Witherbloom, the Balancer. Early turns establish mana dorks and continuous token generators such as Bitterblossom, Insidious Roots, and Black Market Connections. Cards like Cryptolith Rite and Enduring Vitality turn wide boards into substantial mana pools, rapidly discounting the commander and high-impact sorceries. The primary win condition uses creature tutors to assemble the infinite token combo of Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak. Secondary win conditions capitalize on massive token generation through Mirkwood Bats life drain, Chatterfang, Squirrel General board control, and large combat overruns via Preposterous Proportions or Genesis Wave. While highly explosive and capable of rebuilding quickly after board wipes, the deck remains vulnerable to mass exile effects and relies on a one-turn delay to attack with newly created tokens.
