Flood of Smiles by user5442955

Format: Commander

Commander: Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Simic counters deck builds a wide board of creatures that grow with +1/+1 counters and then doubles those counters for lethal combat. Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood turns lands into Islands and untaps every permanent you control with a counter at your end step, which fuels mana dorks like Gyre Sage and Kami of Whispered Hopes and enables Islandwalk and Scourge of Fleets. Secondary paths use Eluge cost reduction, flood-enabled Cold-Eyed Selkie card draw, and a late Doppelgang copy finish. Kami of Whispered Hopes acts as a hidden commander, doubling counters and tapping for huge mana. The deck wins by making counter creatures unblockable with Herald of Secret Streams and swinging for 40.
