Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender pilots a Naya land-and-artifact hybrid deck. Toph's static makes every nontoken artifact also a land, while earthbend turns those lands into counter-carrying attackers. The deck ramps with mana rocks and land tutors, then explodes via landfall payoffs. Its primary kill is Bumi, Unleashed made into a land through Liquimetal Torque/Coating/Mycosynth Lattice, creating infinite combat phases; the fallback is a huge token swing from Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths after Reshape the Earth or Scapeshift. The Legend of Kyoshi // Avatar Kyoshi acts as a double-faced lieutenant: its saga side draws and earthbends, and the Avatar face gives lands trample/hexproof and massive mana.
