Deck overview

This four-colour (no white) deck is a cascade-driven value engine helmed by Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. The primary plan is to give Yidris haste - via Temur Ascendancy, Lightning Greaves, Arena of Glory or Hall of the Bandit Lord - connect with combat damage, then gain cascade on every spell cast from hand for the rest of the turn. That burst of free spells snowballs through Apex Devastator, Maelstrom Wanderer, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty and Abaddon the Despoiler while exile-themed engines like Prosper, Tome-Bound, Bonehoard Dracosaur, Urabrask, Heretic Praetor and Etali, Primal Conqueror compound the advantage. The deck also packs a dense tutor suite (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal, Worldly Tutor, Mystical Tutor) to find either an extra-turn spell (Nexus of Fate) or a game-ending cascade bomb. Wins come through overwhelming board presence, repeated extra turns, and the sheer card advantage of casting half the library for free.
