Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy focused on Raccoon tribal synergies, expend mechanics, and explosive combat scaling led by Muerra, Trash Tactician. In the opening turns, it deploys efficient low-cost Raccoons and mana rocks to establish board presence and accelerate Muerra on curve. Muerra converts your Raccoon board state into free red or green mana during each first main phase, fueling heavy mana expenditure that unlocks recurring life gain and impulse card advantage through expend triggers. As mana production scales into the midgame, the deck casts high-impact beaters and damage doublers such as Railway Brawler, End-Raze Forerunners, and Unnatural Growth. These threats grant trample and massive stat buffs to close out the game through overwhelming combat damage over two to three attack steps. The deck thrives on linear proactive development and creature redundancy, though it remains exposed to well-timed sweepers and requires careful sequencing to maximize expend thresholds.
