Deck overview

This mono-black Commander deck is built around Ghoulcaller Gisa, utilizing Zombie tribal synergies, sacrifice outlets, and aristocrat drain effects to dominate the battlefield. The strategy focuses on establishing early mana and utility Zombies, casting Gisa, and sacrificing high-power creatures to create an overwhelming horde of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Buffed by lords such as Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, and Undead Warchief, the token army quickly overwhelms opponents through wide combat attacks. Simultaneously, drain engines like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel convert creature deaths and enters-the-battlefield triggers into direct life loss, bypassing traditional pillowfort defenses. While the deck lacks fast mana, tutors, and countermagic, its high density of tribal redundancy and graveyard recursion provides resilient mid-game grind.
