Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a dedicated token swarm and aristocrats strategy led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. The game plan revolves around generating noncreature and creature tokens, which Chatterfang doubles into additional 1/1 green Squirrels. Once a wide board of Squirrels is established, the deck converts token quantity into board control via Chatterfang's removal ability and life loss through drain engines like Mirkwood Bats and Valley Rotcaller. It also packs the infinite creature combo of Scurry Oak and Ivy Lane Denizen alongside strong token doublers such as Doubling Season and Parallel Lives. With an unusually high land count of 46 lands, the deck guarantees consistent land drops but trades away explosive early acceleration and deep tutor packages. It wins by overwhelming opponents through wide combat swings, machine-gunning blockers, or draining life across multiple turns.
