Zombies and Lord of the Pit tokens by Noah0603

Format: Commander

Commander: Thomil, the Destroyer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is a slow, grindy token-and-sacrifice strategy helmed by Thomil, the Destroyer. The primary game plan is to build a wide board of Zombie tokens via Army of the Damned, Grave Titan, and Endless Ranks of the Dead, while using Grave Pact/Dictate of Erebos to control opponents' creature counts. Thomil provides a reliable source of 2/2 Zombie tokens and can sacrifice them for a burst of B mana, accelerating into large spells or planeswalker activations. Secondary win conditions include mass drain from Pontiff of Blight or Great Unclean One, commander damage via Luxior, Giada's Gift, or a planeswalker ultimate like Liliana Vess's mass reanimation. The deck wins through overwhelming combat inevitability rather than combo lines, and it grinds value through repeated death triggers.
