Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy combat and upkeep engine commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds. The primary strategy accelerates Obeka onto the battlefield, grants her unblockable status or evasion through cards like Aqueous Form and Whispersilk Cloak, and deals combat damage to trigger multiple consecutive upkeep phases. These stacked upkeeps trigger powerful permanents such as Court of Ambition, Bonehoard Dracosaur, Twilight Prophet, and Plargg and Nassari several times in a single turn. Rather than relying on infinite combos, the list leverages compounding card advantage, token generation, and scaling asymmetric life loss to overwhelm opponents. Defensively, the list runs premium low-cost countermagic and free commander protection spells like Deflecting Swat to safeguard Obeka during combat. When unobstructed, the deck establishes an oppressive resource stranglehold on Turn 5 and burns out the entire table across two attack cycles by Turn 7.
