Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and drain attrition build commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. The primary strategy focuses on establishing early lifegain triggers and deploying drain amplifiers like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Sanguine Bond. Liesa, Shroud of Dusk serves as both a fast combat threat and a universal life tax, penalizing opponents whenever they cast spells while mitigating her own commander tax by paying life instead of mana. The deck can close games either through steady combat and bleed attrition or by assembling an infinite loop between Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror and any life-loss trigger. While it possesses strong resilience against commander tax and rich thematic synergy, the deck is constrained by a slow mana base with ten taplands, thin ramp, and a lack of cheap tutors and stack interaction.
