Big fatties by user1410349

Format: Commander

Commander: Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood and Alena, Kessig Trapper

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Gilanra and Alena form a red-green 'big mana beatdown' partnership: Gilanra accelerates and draws when her mana feeds a 6+ mana spell, while Alena turns each newly entered high-power creature into a burst of red mana. The primary plan is to curve a turn-2 Gilanra into discounters and monarch fatties, then chain several large creatures in one turn, using Moraug and mass buffs to win through combat. Secondary paths include Etali/Knollspine for card advantage and enters-trigger removal from Inferno Titan/Sylvan Primordial. Neither partner is double-faced; the only double-faced card, Tovolar's Huntmaster, is a value token beater rather than a hidden commander.
