Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Spellslinger strategy built around the Prepare mechanic and commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The deck uses low-cost prepare creatures to provide early battlefield presence, then casts their spell sides to trigger Codie's spell-doubling ability. By copying high-impact spells like Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, the deck generates enormous card draw and mana velocity. Payoffs such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Veyran, Voice of Duality, Fiery Inscription, and Professor Onyx turn every cast and copied spell into lethal table-wide burn. While the deck boasts immense compounding card flow and quick recovery through built-in prepare recursion, it relies heavily on creature survival and lacks instant-speed counterspells or proactive stax elements.
