Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger storm deck centers on Vivi Ornitier, turning every noncreature spell into direct damage and +1/+1 counters while leveraging Vivi's {0} ability for massive mana acceleration. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Vivi on Turn 3 and attaching a damage-trigger draw engine such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on Turn 4. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell, each spell draws three cards, creating a self-sustaining chain of cheap cantrips and rituals. As Vivi grows, activating its {0} ability provides a massive burst of red and blue mana to cast dozens of spells in a single turn, eliminating the table through cumulative burn, Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, or Grapeshot. Backup win conditions include the infinite Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity loop or explosive token swarms via Stormsplitter, all supported by a robust suite of efficient countermagic and interaction.
