Gary, the Corrosive by StarKiller13

Format: Commander

Commander: Toxrill, the Corrosive

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Dimir deck leverages Toxrill, the Corrosive as a controlling value engine that slowly dismantles opponent boards while generating a steady stream of 1/1 Slug tokens. The primary game plan involves deploying Toxrill early, using its end-step -1/-1 counters to shrink creatures and trigger death events, then converting those deaths into card advantage and life drain through a dense aristocrats package. Win conditions include cumulative drain from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, plus the alternative win condition Revel in Riches. The deck also packs powerful symmetrical wipes like Damnation and Toxic Deluge that synergize with its death triggers. Interaction is solid, with four counterspells, free spells, and efficient spot removal. The commander is the central board-control piece, but the deck retains a functional value plan through its death-trigger engine even if Toxrill is answered.
