Deck overview

Led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, this Jund deck executes a punishing -1/-1 counter attrition strategy that converts counter distribution into massive card advantage and table-wide life drain. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient ramp to deploy Auntie Ool by Turn 3. Once assembled, self-blighting triggers, wither damage, and proliferated counters draw multiple cards each turn cycle while steadily shrinking opposing creatures and draining life totals. Key engine centerpieces like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and Nest of Scarabs flood the battlefield with tokens and fuel relentless card draw. Stax elements like Kulrath Knight shut down combat for opponents, while Necroskitter steals dying opposing creatures. A compact infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs provides an instant-speed combo finish, while overwhelming combat damage and drain from Obelisk Spider close out games by Turn 7.
