Deck overview

This deck is an Esper midrange strategy led by Marneus Calgar, blending token generation with double strike combat pressure. The game plan focuses on establishing Marneus Calgar alongside recurring token generators like Black Market Connections, Smothering Tithe, and Prince Imrahil the Fair. Each token entry draws a card, rapidly replenishing resources to maintain interaction and find enhancements. Offensively, the deck leverages Marneus Calgar's natural double strike with equipment like Sword of Feast and Famine and auras like Steel of the Godhead, supported by vehicle threats like Reaver Titan and burn effects from Mirkwood Bats. Defensively, the list runs an elite suite of free protection spells and countermagic including Fierce Guardianship, Flawless Maneuver, and Clever Concealment to keep the board intact through opposing board wipes. The deck steadily grinds opponents out of the game through card advantage and combat steps.
