Deck overview

This is a classic Simic ramp-and-draw sea-monster deck helmed by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The plan is to accelerate lands, drop Aesi as a repeatable landfall draw engine, then flood the board with high-power Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents. Extra land drops plus card advantage turn the high average mana value into a steady stream of 6-9 CMC threats, many of which carry built-in evasion, bounce, or token generation. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat (often after a one-sided wipe like Whelming Wave or overloaded Cyclonic Rift), supported by a dense counter suite and the occasional Hullbreaker Horror lock. Aesi is the central engine but the 99 still functions as a big-stuff value pile if the commander is answered.
