Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as a dedicated wheel-and-burn engine commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The primary strategy accelerates mana on early turns through artifact signets and talismans, establishes one or more draw- or discard-punishment permanents, and then casts symmetrical wheel spells to burn the entire table simultaneously. Cards like Windfall, Reforge the Soul, and Dark Deal force all players to dump and refill their hands, triggering continuous damage from Nekusar, Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Liliana's Caress. Waste Not converts opposing discards into explosive mana rituals and extra cards, frequently enabling multiple wheel spells in a single turn. The deck features redundant punisher effects, allowing it to function smoothly even if opponents remove Nekusar. While giving opponents seven fresh cards carries inherent risk, efficient counterspells, board wipes, and equipment protect your engine as you rapidly drain the table's life totals across two turn cycles.
