Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-green cheat strategy commanded by Kona, Rescue Beastie. The primary objective is to cast Kona on Turn 2 or 3 and tap her immediately using low-cost utility permanents such as Springleaf Drum, Paradise Mantle, Jaspera Sentinel, or Holdout Settlement. Moving into the second main phase triggers Survival, allowing the deck to drop devastating high-mana permanents directly from hand onto the battlefield without paying their casting costs. Key payoffs include asymmetric control pieces like Portal to Phyrexia and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, massive value engines like Vaultborn Tyrant and The Great Henge, and game-ending combat threats like Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Worldspine Wurm, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. The deck leverages power-based card draw spells to continuously refill its hand and refuels its board each turn. While vulnerable to early spot removal on Kona and lacking instant stack interaction, dense mana acceleration and uncounterable protection effects ensure swift, devastating board dominance.
