Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Reanimator strategy piloted by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The core game plan revolves around utilizing surveil triggers to sculpt the hand and graveyard while systematically growing Mirko with +1/+1 counters. At each end step, Mirko reanimates creatures with power less than his own, cheating mana costs on disruptive value creatures. Heavy hitters such as Archon of Cruelty, Sepulchral Primordial, and Massacre Wurm control opposing boards through forced sacrifices, discards, and stat debuffs. Flicker spells like Ghostly Flicker, Displace, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling maximize enters-the-battlefield triggers, resetting finality counters to keep threats recurring indefinitely. The deck backs up this engine with a comprehensive suite of low-cost countermagic and graveyard tutors, ultimately grinding down the entire table through incremental combat damage, life loss, and decisive board control.
