Deck overview

This Boros deck pairs Ganax, Astral Hunter with the Background Veteran Soldier to orchestrate an aggressive Dragon tribal and Treasure acceleration strategy. In the opening turns, cheap mana rocks, cost reducers like Urza's Incubator, and early Treasure generators like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer set the foundation to deploy Veteran Soldier and Ganax by Turn 4. Once Ganax enters, every subsequent Dragon converts into mana velocity via Treasure tokens, while attacking with Ganax floods the board with attacking Soldier tokens. The deck reaches critical onset on Turn 5 by casting heavy Dragon payoffs such as Lathliss, Dragon Queen, Scourge of Valkas, or Ancient Gold Dragon, quickly compounding damage through ETB burn enablers like Dragon Tempest and Warstorm Surge. Free defensive tools such as Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver shield key pieces against removal, allowing the deck to close out the game by Turn 7 with overwhelming aerial combat damage and direct life total pressure.
