Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon deck is a five-color Dragon battlecruiser. The Eminence discount is the primary engine, making every other Dragon cost one less while the deck ramps with green sorceries and mana rocks. The normal plan is to cast evasive Dragons, use attack triggers to draw and cheat permanents into play, and converge on a large combat turn powered by Atarka World Render, Dragon Tempest/Scourge of Valkas burn, and Legion Loyalty's myriad copies. The commander itself usually enters either very late or via Hellkite Courser for a one-turn value swing. Scion of the Ur-Dragon is a hidden secondary tool that can fetch a Dragon from the library and copy it, usually Atarka or Drakuseth, when the board needs a finisher.
