Deck overview

Shilgengar, Sire of Famine commands a resilient Orzhov Angel tribal deck focused on life gain, graveyard recursion, and overwhelming aerial combat. The primary game plan develops early ramp and stocks the graveyard with high-impact Angels using Entomb, Buried Alive, and self-mill enablers. Once Shilgengar enters, sacrificing high-toughness Angels generates piles of Blood tokens that fuel its activated ability, returning all graveyard creatures to the battlefield at once. Opponents are overwhelmed through massive flying attacks amplified by Righteous Valkyrie and Akroma's Will, token burn via Mirkwood Bats, or lockouts using Brisela, Voice of Nightmares. Synergies like Solemnity and mass blink effects safely remove finality counters from reanimated threats.
