Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The game plan revolves around casting cheap instants and sorceries to grow Vivi with +1/+1 counters while pinging each opponent. Vivi converts these counters directly into large bursts of colored mana, fueling continuous spell chains. Card draw engines such as Curiosity and Archmage Emeritus keep the hand full, while redundant burn creatures like Guttersnipe and Coruscation Mage rapidly deplete opposing life totals. The deck also includes an infinite mana combo using Quicksilver Elemental, which copies Vivi's activated mana ability repeatedly to generate limitless mana. A dense suite of counterspells protects key turns and disrupts critical opposing plays. The deck aims to assemble its core pieces by Turn 4 and execute a decisive table-wide burn kill on Turn 5.
