Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Creature Stompy strategy helmed by Ruric Thar, the Unbowed and built with an 'oops, all permanents' restriction centered around a single nonpermanent spell, Primal Surge. The deck leverages a high density of 1- to 3-CMC mana dorks and ramp creatures to deploy Ruric Thar by Turn 4. Once resolved, Ruric Thar applies immediate pressure as a 6/6 reach and vigilance threat while severely punishing opponents' noncreature spells with 6 damage triggers.
