Thief of Talents by TenguHangover

Format: Commander

Commander: Kuroki, Thief of Talents

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black discard attrition deck helmed by Kuroki, Thief of Talents. The plan is to empty opponents' hands with symmetrical and targeted discard, then convert those discards into drain, tokens, card advantage, and stolen spells via payoffs like Waste Not, Tergrid, God of Fright, the Tinybones pair, and Liliana's Caress. Kuroki, Thief of Talents is a flexible five-mana value engine: opponents either feed you a free cast from their hand or let Kuroki grow under menace. Primary wins come from accumulating discard drain, Torment of Hailfire, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Tinybones, Trinket Thief's empty-hand finisher, backed by combat from evasive threats and Tergrid permanents. The deck plays as classic black resource denial-slow the table, punish every discard, then close with a large X-spell or lethal upkeep drains.
