Deck overview

This mono-red aggressive deck leverages Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos as a fast, high-velocity clock that triggers four combats per turn rotation. Powered by dense early mana acceleration including Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and red rituals, the deck reliably deploys Alexios on Turn 2 or 3. Because Alexios gains +1/+1 counters each upkeep, gains haste, has trample, and is passed to each player in turn, it forces opponents to batter one another with massive commander damage while remaining unable to attack its owner or be sacrificed. The list supports this relentless assault with robust equipment granting protection and evasion (Commander's Plate, Mithril Coat, Brotherhood Regalia) alongside damage multipliers like The Sound of Drums. Free and low-cost redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend safeguard Alexios against targeted removal, while Blood Moon and Silent Arbiter break parity by restricting opposing development and combat options, closing games swiftly by Turn 5.
