Deck overview

This Dimir control deck uses Toxrill, the Corrosive to establish an oppressive creature-suppression engine. Early turns focus on developing mana rocks and filtering draws with efficient cantrips. The deck deliberately gifts low-toughness creature tokens to opponents through cards like Hunted Phantasm, Slaughter Specialist, and Genesis Chamber. Once Toxrill enters on Turn 5, every end step places slime counters on opposing creatures, rapidly wiping opposing boards and converting dying creatures into 1/1 Slug tokens. The resulting token generation fuels card draw via Toxrill's activated ability and triggers aristocrat payoffs such as Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, and Syr Konrad, the Grim. Support cards like Maha, Its Feathers Night accelerate board clears into immediate one-sided wipes, while cheap counterspells and recursion protect the commander. The deck finishes games by draining the table and attacking with an unblockable swarm of Slugs and a 7/7 commander.
