Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred midrange strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around deploying synergistic Villain creatures and leveraging Doctor Doom's combat ability to grant menace and trigger connive every turn. As creatures connive, the deck filters cards, buffs its board with +1/+1 counters, and triggers secondary payoffs like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Ultron, Unlimited. Discarded cards gain extended utility through Mayhem abilities, Containment Construct, and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, while discarded lands turn into direct life drain against all opponents. The deck wins by establishing an evasive, resilient board of Villains amplified by anthems like The Squadron Sinister and Titania, Proud Pummeler, overwhelming opponents through combat damage and incidental burn around Turn 8. Flexible removal and asymmetric sweepers provide strong board control.
