Deck overview

Tovolar, Dire Overlord leads an aggressive Gruul tribal deck that aims to quickly establish a wide board of low-cost Wolves and Werewolves. Connecting in combat with these creatures triggers Tovolar's built-in card advantage engine, keeping your hand full of fresh threats. Once you control three or more Wolves or Werewolves, Tovolar forces the game into Nightbound mode, transforming your creatures into their formidable back faces and unlocking mass buffs. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage powered by tribal anthem effects, evasion granters like Full Moon's Rise, and extra combat steps from spells like Relentless Assault and Fury of the Horde.
