Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos group-slug and attrition control deck commanded by Mogis, God of Slaughter. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Mogis early to establish inevitable life loss and creature sacrifice across all opponents. A dense package of 18 creature board sweepers repeatedly wipes the battlefield, keeping Mogis as a non-creature enchantment that remains immune to damage and destruction. As opponents struggle to maintain creature boards, punishing enchantments like Painful Quandary, Polluted Bonds, and Tainted Aether tax every game action. The deck closes games around Turn 8 by stacking damage multipliers like Wound Reflection and Fiery Emancipation, creating a Marit Lage token with Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage, or assembling the infinite mill-and-drain loop of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. Because the list has minimal early ramp and limited stack interaction, it excels at grinding out creature-centric tables while remaining vulnerable to fast non-creature combo decks.
