HYDRAS HYRDRAS HYDRAS by user8193063

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Zaxara, the Exemplary is the mana engine and token generator for an X-spell combo deck; there is no double-faced commander, so the deck is built around the front side. The main plan is to cast Zaxara early, attach Pemmin's Aura or Freed from the Real to produce infinite colored mana, then use massive X-spells to draw into and create a lethal Hydra army. Backup lines use doubled +1/+1 counters with Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, and Unbound Flourishing to win through combat. The hidden secondary "commander" in the build is Unbound Flourishing, which doubles both the count and spell side of every X-chain.
